About Reasonable Faith

Reasonable Faith is an international ministry led by Philosopher and Theologian, Dr. William Lane Craig.  This site is the home for the Sioux Falls, South Dakota Chapter of Reasonable Faith.

The three-fold mission of Reasonable Faith Sioux Falls is to carry out on a local way, the mission of the international ministry...

1] To provide an articulate, intelligent voice for biblical Christianity in the public arena

2] To challenge unbelievers with the truth of biblical Christianity

3] To train Christians to state and defend Christian truth claims with greater effectiveness

The foundation for Reasonable Faith Sioux Falls is derived from the work of Dr. William Lane Craig, which you should check out for yourself - an incredible reservoir of useful, articulate, and intelligent pieces including articles, videos, and audio:

Pillars of our Faith

The image above is edited by Dr. Krahenbuhl and designed to layout how I conceptualize the founations of our Christian Faith.  It guides my presentation and interaction with others in the field of apologetics through these acknowledgments:

   1) The very foundation of our faith is in God - thus, any defense of the faith must begin there; if there is no God, the Bible is not inspired by Him, nor does His Holy Spirit dwell within us, nor is Jesus Christ his divine "son".  Thus, this foundation must be established first in my perspective.

   2) I see the Bible, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit as the central pillars - if we are to convince others of the truth of Christianity, we must convince them that (a) truth exists, (b) that the Bible is trustworthy, (c) and that Jesus of Nazareth is the Son of God through whom God has revealed Himself directly to us and it is only through his grace that we can dwell with him in the afterlife eternally in His presence.  Once, someone accepts God, the Bible as a legitimate historical source, and acknowledges that the facts surrounding Jesus' life and resurrection are best explained that God did, indeed, raise him from the dead we can invite them to reach out for the Holy Spirit is already dwelling within him.  However, if someone is not sincerely seeking God, he will not find him.  Hence, the next area we look at deal with Biblical inerrancy and the life of Jesus of Nazareth.  The Holy Spirit is always doing its internal work in reaching people and through laying the foundations and making it an intellectually reasonable activity, this approach may aid in helping some come to God.

   3) Our Christian faith is built on these aspects; thus they are focal to my approach to the ministry of apologetics.

Finally, while this approach will not reach everyone Jesus called his disciples to be "fishers of men".  Some men require different tactics and these are designed to keep Christianity a viable intellectual endeavor in this increasingly secularlized world.
